Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mortgage Consultant role based in Williamson Counties and surrounding areas. The Mortgage Consultant will guide customers through the home loan process from initial inquiry to closing, including assessing borrower needs, discussing loan options, and gathering required documentation. This role includes evaluating financial information, collaborating with underwriting and processing teams, and ensuring applications meet regulatory and internal policy requirements. The Mortgage Consultant will build and maintain relationships with customers, real estate professionals, and internal partners to drive mortgage growth and deliver an exceptional customer experience. Daily responsibilities also include managing a pipeline of loans, providing timely updates, and proactively resolving issues to ensure smooth and timely closings.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of the Mortgage Industry and Mortgages, including loan products, terminology, and regulatory considerations.
- Practical experience in Finance and Mortgage Lending, with the ability to review income, credit, and collateral to recommend appropriate solutions.
- Demonstrated Customer Service skills, including clear communication, active listening, and a consultative approach to client needs.
- Proficiency with loan origination systems, standard office software, and basic financial calculations.
- Ability to work on-site, manage multiple files simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field preferred.
- Prior experience in mortgage consulting, loan origination, or retail banking is strongly preferred.
- Registration or eligibility to register with applicable state and federal mortgage licensing requirements, as needed.
