Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor/Cleaner to maintain cleanliness and hygiene across our facilities. This role involves performing routine cleaning tasks to ensure a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment for staff and visitors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating cleaning equipment efficiently and effectively, adhering to safety standards, and ensuring all areas are kept in pristine condition.
Duties
- Perform daily cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors in various areas of the facility.
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, hallways, offices, and other designated spaces.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, carpet cleaners, and other machinery to ensure thorough cleaning.
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and toilet paper as needed.
- Dispose of trash and waste materials properly in accordance with safety guidelines.
- Follow established safety procedures when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Report any maintenance issues or damages to management promptly.
- Ensure all cleaning activities comply with health and safety regulations to maintain a safe environment for everyone.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in janitorial or cleaning roles is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Good physical stamina and mobility to perform manual tasks throughout the workday.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions accurately.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to handling cleaning chemicals and equipment is an advantage.
