Extivita- RTP is a growing medical clinic which operates one of the largest, private, hyperbaric oxygen therapy centers in the United States. We are located in Durham, NC on the edge of Research Triangle Park. Our team is dedicated to extending and improving patients’ quality of life by providing science-based integrative therapies. Our outpatient clinic houses two state-of-the-art multi-seat Hyperbaric Oxygen Chambers, a Nutritional IV Clinic, Infrared Sauna, Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy, and Neurofeedback Therapy.
We are seeking an experienced, self-motivated, growth-oriented, and people-oriented Neurofeedback Technician who will be primarily responsible for administering neurofeedback therapy and monitoring patients throughout their sessions. The technician will work with our clinical team to support patients with cognitive, emotional, and neurological concerns, helping them achieve improvements in mental and physical well-being.
Responsibilities
Neurofeedback Therapy
- Conduct neurofeedback patient consultations and run qEEG recording sessions (using BrainMaster/Discovery hardware and software).
- Analyze results of patient assessments, consultations, and qEEGs and translate them into formal reports for the clinical team.
- Assist patients with pre- and post-session care, answering questions and providing guidance on preparation for future sessions.
- Run neurofeedback therapy sessions for patients according to set protocols, ensuring comfort and proper operation of the equipment.
- Track all qualitative and quantitative data from neurofeedback therapy sessions to monitor patient progression and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Communicate with BrainMaster’s technical department when technical issues arise to ensure seamless therapy sessions.
- Conduct virtual Neurofeedback using Myndlift program and ship all necessary hardware to patients for at-home use.
Hyperbaric Technician/Assistant: Because we are a hyperbaric oxygen clinic, the Neurofeedback Technician will also be responsible for:
- Prepare and educate patients about the Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy
- Prepare hyperbaric chamber before hyperbaric treatments.
- Assist patients inside multi-place hyperbaric chamber during HBOT sessions with hyperbaric oxygen administration as prescribed by the hyperbaric provider.
- Operate hyperbaric chamber and other support systems in accordance to all safety standards and regulations.
- Assist team with chamber and equipment maintenance.
- Conduct medical history intake during consultations and report findings to the Medical Director for treatment planning.
Administrative
- Supporting patients with check in/out, scheduling, therapy selection, clothing lockers, checkout.
- Support current administrative team to ensure efficient and smooth clinic operations.
- Answering phones.
- Ensuring consents are up to date and filing charts.
- Write ups for indication pages on website.
- Assist or lead with medical related policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Must have prior experience administering neurofeedback or relevant clinical experience in a similar field.
- Familiarity with neurofeedback equipment and software, including BrainMaster/Discovery hardware and software.
- Familiarity with Myndlift is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to track and report on patient data.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must possess a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Must be able to pass a physical exam to work within the clinic environment.
