The Role: Manager, Facilities & Housekeeping
The Manager, Facilities & Housekeeping is a hands-on manager who is responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of our facility, for both employee and member areas. They oversee ongoing preventive maintenance as well as manage daily operations of the Housekeeping and Facilities team. They will manage projects, maintain relationships and contracts with vendors and partner with the Director of Hospitality to make key decisions. Their priority will be to create a clean and well-maintained environment for PS LAX. They will manage a team consisting of housekeepers, housekeeping supervisors and maintenance technicians.
This position reports to the Director of Hospitality at PS LAX. This is a fully-onsite role at PS LAX.
Responsibilities & Expectations
- Team Leadership: Manage Housekeeping and Facilities team to ensure successful execution of all daily operations
- Guest Experience: Ensure outstanding guest service at all times, respond to housekeeping and maintenance calls efficiently and professionally.
- Scheduling Support: Ensure adequate scheduling to cover business demands, facility needs and projects
- Staff Training and SOP Development: Schedule and facilitate new hire employee training in accordance with Department standards.
- SOP Development & Implementation: In collaboration with Director of Hospitality, SOP development and implementation.
- Suite & Facilities Preparation: Work on the floor with Housekeeping and Facilities team and ensuring all member-facing and employee areas are maintained to luxury standards.
- Standards Compliance: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards as well as company policies and industry regulations.
- Effective Communication: Demonstrate proficiency in taking and giving instructions, both verbal and written. Ability to report on projects including budget review/requirements, scope of work and updates.
- Multitasking: Handle multiple tasks efficiently with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy and effective execution.
- Recruitment and Development of Associates: Active participation in recruitment and development of associates.
- Independent Supervision: Lead a team independently without direct supervision when applicable.
- Innovation: Proactively contribute innovative ideas for continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 2 years experiencing Managing or Supervising a housekeeping and/or maintenance team
- Working knowledge of building maintenance with the ability to diagnose and facilitate solutions
- Proficiency in project management
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Spanish speaking preferred
- Experience working around confidential and sensitive information.
- Knowledge of hotel and/or restaurant operations desired.
- Ability to focus attention on employee and member needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively as part of a team
- Pass a pre-employment drug screening background check.
- Collection of SSN as part of the background check process will be required.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- PS is a 24-hour facility and as such we require fully open schedule availability and flexibility for all positions within our operations departments, including weekends, holidays, and early morning/late evening shifts.

Compensation range $85,000 - $90,000/annually. This is a full-time role.
