About the Client
The project involves the development and support of an eCommerce platform offering a wide range of products for high school, college, and university students — from clothing and jewelry to yearbooks and gift cards. The customer is a U.S.-based manufacturer of memorabilia, well known for producing yearbooks, class rings, and championship rings for educational institutions and sports organizations. The team is focused on maintaining and enhancing the eCommerce application, particularly the PhotoCards module, which includes integration with a third-party service (Gartner API) for photo card composition.
What You’ll Do
- Perform both manual and automated testing, contributing equally to test execution and automation development.
- Design, implement, and maintain automated test cases for regression and new features in collaboration with the QA Automation team.
- Create, execute, and maintain manual test plans, test cases, and regression suites for each release cycle.
- Provide clear and timely testing status updates ahead of releases and participate in release readiness discussions.
- Work closely with the Release Manager, Business Analysts, Developers, and QA teams to ensure smooth releases and high product quality.
- Analyze issues identified during testing, ensuring clear documentation, prioritization, and traceability.
- Log, track, and verify defects using standard issue-tracking and test management tools.
- Participate in customer and stakeholder meetings to share QA insights and clarify requirements.
- Perform data validation and test data preparation using MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Python scripts.
What You Bring
- Proven, senior-level experience in Quality Assurance, with a balanced background in manual and automated testing.
- Strong understanding of QA processes, test methodologies, and SDLC.
- Hands-on experience designing and executing manual test cases and regression suites, as well as contributing to test automation frameworks.
- Practical experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar).
- Solid knowledge of SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL) for data validation and backend testing.
- Working knowledge of Python for test automation, scripting, or test data setup.
- Experience with bug tracking and test management tools such as Jira, TestRail, or Zephyr.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
Nice to have
- Experience influencing test strategy, improving automation coverage, or mentoring junior QA engineers.
