Role Description The Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Portland, OR. This role is responsible for performing day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, bank and account reconciliations, and assisting with month-end and year-end close processes. The Accountant will prepare and review financial reports, support budgeting and forecasting, and ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations. The role includes maintaining accurate records for project-related costs, assisting with job cost analysis, and collaborating with project managers and leadership to provide timely financial information. The Accountant will also help improve accounting processes and internal controls and support external audits as needed.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess core accounting skills such as general ledger management, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Candidates should possess skills in budgeting, forecasting, and job cost tracking to support project-based financial analysis.
- Candidates should possess proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks or similar), Microsoft Excel, and other office productivity tools.
- Candidates should possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Candidates should possess effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with project teams and leadership.
