PAY IS DEPENDENT ON EXPERIENCE
A Landscape Project Coordinator supervises and coordinates landscaping
crews and projects, translating design plans into reality by overseeing
installation and maintenance tasks like planting, irrigation, hardscaping, and
tree care. Key responsibilities include managing the team and schedule,
operating equipment, ensuring quality and safety, handling materials, and
maintaining effective communication with clients and other contractors to
ensure projects meet client expectations and are completed on time.
Project Planning & Coordination:
Organize and coordinate all aspects of landscaping projects, from concept
to installation, to ensure they align with the project timeline and objectives.
Team & Project Management:
Organize job sites, manage and lead crews, and direct tasks to ensure
efficient and high-quality workmanship.
Client & Stakeholder Communication:
Serve as a point of contact, liaising with clients, property owners, and other
stakeholders to understand needs, provide updates, and address inquiries.
Documentation & Reporting:
Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, and progress records,
ensuring compliance with plans, specifications, and regulations.
Risk & Issue Resolution:
Monitor projects for potential risks and resolve issues as they arise,
adapting to changing site conditions or project needs.
Quality Control:
Oversee work to ensure it meets project specifications and quality
standards, liaising with authorities on design requirements and approvals.
Hands-on Work:
Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as planting, pruning, mowing,
weeding, spreading mulch, and laying sod.
Installation:
Install various landscaping elements, including plants, trees, hardscapes
(patios, retaining walls), and irrigation systems.
Equipment Operation:
Operate heavy equipment like skid steer loaders, as well as tools such as
blowers, hedge trimmers, and chainsaws.
Site & Material Management:
Oversee job sites, ensure materials and equipment are organized, and
manage equipment inventory.
Safety & Quality Control:
Ensure that safety protocols are followed and that the landscaping work
meets high standards of quality and client expectations.
Administrative Tasks:
May involve documenting work hours, conducting inventory checks, and
providing estimates for services.
Required Skills & Knowledge
Technical Expertise:
Deep knowledge of plants, soil, irrigation systems, and various landscape
construction methods.
Leadership Skills:
Ability to lead, motivate, and effectively train a team of landscape workers.
Communication:
Strong verbal and written communication skills for client and team interaction.
Problem-Solving:
Ability to identify and resolve unforeseen challenges that arise during a project.
Organizational Skills:
Strong ability to manage projects, schedules, materials, and equipment
efficiently.
Physical Fitness:
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, carrying, and

Valid Drivers License:
A drivers license is often required, along with the ability to operate a truck and
trailer to transport equipment and materials.
