Reporting to on‑site Management, the Receptionist is responsible for responding to all incoming calls, greeting and directing visitors, and answering inquiries in a positive and professional manner that reflects the values of Extendicare.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer all incoming calls and respond to inquiries in a positive, professional manner
- Redirect calls as appropriate and take clear, concise messages when needed
- Greet, assist, and direct all visitors
- Pick up and sort internal mail
- Stamp, deliver, and maintain mail machine for external mail
- Prepare packages and arrange courier pick-up
- Coordinate meeting room schedules and bookings
- Update phone lists and distribution lists
- Maintain a clean, safe, fully stocked, and well-organized reception area
- Assist with small administrative projects (e.g., labels, bulk mailing)
- Complete other duties as assigned
- Uphold and promote Extendicare’s values, ethics, morality, and integrity as outlined in the Code of Conduct
- Above‑average interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Previous reception experience is an asset
- Professional and polished telephone manner
- Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
