Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces to uphold high standards of cleanliness.
- Maintain cleanliness in public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and recreational spaces by sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces regularly.
- Care for floors through sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to ensure they remain spotless and well-maintained.
- Restock supplies such as toiletries, linens, towels, and amenities to ensure guest needs are met promptly.
- Follow established protocols for waste disposal and linen handling to promote hygiene and environmental responsibility.
- Assist with special cleaning projects including carpet cleaning, window washing, and industrial cleaning tasks as needed.
- Report maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations while performing cleaning duties to maintain a secure workplace.
- Support housekeeping management in training new team members and maintaining efficient workflow processes.
Requirements
- Proven experience in cleaning roles within hospitality settings or janitorial services is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor care (sweeping, mopping, polishing) and general custodial practices.
- Experience with hotel housekeeping operations or custodial management is advantageous.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, carpet cleaners, and industrial scrubbers safely and effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy supplies, bend frequently, and perform repetitive tasks efficiently.
- Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and report issues clearly.
