Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean and sanitize guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing supplies to meet cleanliness standards.
• Handle cleaning chemicals safely by following proper procedures outlined in safety data sheets (SDS) and using appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Perform floor care tasks such as mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning to maintain pristine surfaces throughout the property.
• Assist with janitorial and industrial cleaning duties in public areas, corridors, and back-of-house spaces as needed.
• Manage manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting of linens, furniture, or cleaning equipment while adhering to safety protocols for heavy lifting and ergonomic practices.
• Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly and accurately in case of incidents or safety concerns.
• Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles, with a strong understanding of hospitality standards.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemical agent handling, and floor care equipment operation.
• Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety data sheets (SDS) for chemical products used in cleaning.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking.
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality cleanliness standards.
• Strong teamwork skills combined with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior janitorial experience or industrial cleaning background is advantageous but not required.

Pay: $10.50 - $12.00 per hour
