What are the responsibilities and job description for the PCA/Caregiver position at Extended Hands Assisted Living & Home Care?
**Duties:**
- Provide personal care assistance to clients, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring clients' safety and well-being.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature.
- Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
- Prepare and serve meals tailored to clients' dietary needs and restrictions.
- Help with light housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning and organizing.
- Offer companionship and engage clients in various social activities.
- Follow care plans and communicate any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
**Requirements:**
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of first aid and basic medical procedures is essential.
- Familiarity with nursing home or memory care settings is a plus.
- Ability to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Capacity to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and demonstrate a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to travel up to 35 minutes outside of Lillington to reach clients in neighboring towns.
