Job Overview
The RO / STP Technician is responsible for the operation, monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Reverse Osmosis (RO) and Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) systems to ensure efficient water treatment processes and compliance with quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor RO and STP systems to ensure continuous and efficient operation.
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance of pumps, membranes, filters, blowers, dosing systems, and other equipment.
- Monitor water quality parameters such as pH, TDS, turbidity, chlorine, and flow rates; maintain accurate records and logs.
- Handle chemical dosing, preparation, and safe storage of treatment chemicals.
- Identify faults, troubleshoot system issues, and carry out repairs to minimize downtime.
- Ensure treated water meets required quality standards and regulatory norms.
- Maintain housekeeping, safety, and compliance with HSE policies.
- Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and vendors for maintenance activities and spare parts.
- Assist during commissioning, shutdowns, and emergency situations.
Qualifications & Experience:
- ITI / Diploma in any engineering field
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in operating and maintaining RO and STP plants.
- Good knowledge of water treatment processes, equipment, and chemicals.
- Ability to read and understand P&IDs and operating manuals.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of safety practices and chemical handling.
- Basic electrical and mechanical maintenance skills.
- Ability to work independently and in shifts, if required.
