Job Overview
We are seeking a qualified and compassionate PRS (Peer Recovery Specialist) that’s trained in Mobile Crisis Response to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mental health counseling and demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality care to individuals and families. This role involves working with diverse populations, including children, adults, and those with developmental disabilities, in various settings such as outpatient clinics and inpatient facilities.
Duties
- Provide individual and group counseling services to clients facing mental health challenges.
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including cognitive behavioral therapy, crisis intervention, and motivational interviewing.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Engage in case management activities, including coordinating services and resources for clients.
- Implement behavior management strategies for clients with developmental disabilities or special needs.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives to enhance treatment methodologies.
Skills
The successful candidate should possess the following skills:
- Proficiency in psychotherapy techniques and crisis management strategies.
- Experience with child & family counseling, including working with children and adolescents.
- Knowledge of telehealth practices and experience providing remote counseling services.
- Strong understanding of behavioral health principles, including applied behavior analysis and psychopharmacology.
- Experience in various therapeutic modalities such as art therapy, dance therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and behavioral therapy.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
