Position Summary
The Excavator Operator will play a critical role in pool construction projects, handling excavation, grading, trenching, and transporting materials and equipment. This position requires a skilled operator with at least 5 years of experience and the ability to ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate excavators and other heavy equipment for pool excavation, grading, and backfilling
- Safely transport materials, machinery, and equipment using a CDL-A vehicle
- Read and interpret construction plans, site layouts, and project specifications
- Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
- Ensure job sites meet safety, quality, and compliance standards
- Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and crew members to complete projects on time
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of construction equipment operating experience in pool construction
- Valid CDL-A driver’s license required
- Strong knowledge of excavation practices, grading, trenching, and site prep
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Commitment to safety, attention to detail, and high-quality workmanship
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 75 lbs as needed
- Comfortable operating heavy machinery for extended periods
- Ability to work in physically demanding outdoor environments
Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
