Overall Purpose of the Job
The Class B Truck Driver with Air Brake endorsement is responsible for driving a Company Vehicle (truck or tractor-trailer combination) with a capacity of at least 26,000 GVW to transport and deliver oilfield equipment, goods or materials in a liquid, loose or packaged form to / from employer and client sites.
Key Activities And Accountabilities
Regularly stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, talk, hear, and smell.
Requires occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and exertion of force up to 25 lbs.
Ability to see objects close, afar, and use peripheral vision is required.
Ability to hear and take verbal direction over loud ambient noises is imperative for the safe execution of job duties. There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above ambient noises.
Works outdoors: regularly subject to cold, warm, wet or humid conditions resulting from weather or other various conditions.

Overall Purpose of the Job

Key Activities And Accountabilities
- Follow appropriate federal, state, local and FCC safety procedures and regulations when transporting dangerous goods.
- Perform pre-trip inspection of truck, trailer and/or vehicle to ensure that mechanical, safety and emergency equipment is in good working order before using for service. A Pre-trip Inspection Form must be completed accurately when applicable.
- Any items found defective or not working after the pre-trip inspection are to be documented, repaired and/or replaced prior to vehicle being put into service.
- Must maintain accurate and up to date Hours of Service logs for all hours on and off duty and of vehicle/repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations.
- Drive trucks with capacities greater than 3 tons, including tractor-trailer combinations, in order to deliver products or other materials.
- Maneuver trucks into loading/unloading positions, follow signals from loading/unloading crew as needed, check that vehicle position is correct and any special loading/unloading equipment is properly positioned.
- Secure loads for transport, using rope, blocks, chocks, chains, binders, straps with protective coverings and/or covers as required by federal and state regulations as well as any company requirements.
- Obtain receipts or signatures when loads are delivered and/or collect payment for services when required.
- Check all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate.
- Read bills of lading to determine assignment details.
- Assist in the loading/offloading of material and goods when required.
- Report any vehicle defects, vehicle damages, accidents (vehicle or property damage), and traffic violations in accordance with government and FCC requirements.
- Ensure that company vehicle and property remain clean and environmentally safe at all times.

- Other duties as assigned.
- Valid Class B Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
- Due to auto insurance requirements, must be at least 21 years of age.
- DOT Medical card or ability to pass DOT physical and drug screen.
- Transportation Worker’s Identification Card.
- General knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations regarding DOT drivers/vehicles.
- Knowledge of Transportation principles and methods for moving people or goods by roads.
- Knowledge of policies, procedures and strategies to promote effective local, state, federal and FCC requirements for the protection of people, data, property and institutions.
- Must be able to speak, read, write English well enough to read technical documents and effectively communicate with team members.
- Competent in using mathematical skills in order to correctly complete Hours of Service logs.
- Capability to perform routine maintenance on equipment.
- MUST live within 50 miles of the company location and have reliable transportation.
- MUST be available at all times as this is a 24hr on-call position unless on approved time off.
- Satisfactory results of pre-employment screening (ie background/MVR, drug/alcohol, physical).
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Drilling related operations experience preferred.
- Valid personal identification documents.
- Available to work to tight deadlines.
- Ability to meet physical demands of job duties.
