**Summary/Objective**Production Supervisor is responsible for the safety, quality, training, development, and productivity of the personnel and equipment on their shift. This is a hands-on position – mechanical aptitude is a must.Essential FunctionsResponsible for daily operations on the production floor, including scheduling, staffing, training and troubleshooting to ensure that all operations meet or exceed safety, quality and efficiency standardsAssign duties to employees, checking their activities at regular intervals to ensure quality work is being performed in a safe and efficient fashionProvides manufacturing information by completing, compiling, reviewing, and submitting production, process and quality reports to managementMotivate and lead team members: provide coaching and development opportunities; monitor success through documented periodic work performance evaluations, KPI’s, and enact performance improvement plans, as requiredCoordinate departmental activities to meet manufacturing schedules, and take positive action to increase overall equipment effectiveness and reduce operating costsRole model and encourage teamwork: work with inter- and intra-departmental staff to improve productivity and quality standards in order to meet customer requirementsParticipates and actively identifies continuous improvement projects to improve products, processes, reduce waste, and reduce costMaintains a safe and clean work environmentForklift and material handling experienceLEAN/Process improvement methodologies – proven track record requiredCompetenciesQuality and Efficiency Focused – Mindset aligns team members and manufacturing processes and raw materials to develop solutions with business and KPI expectations in mind.Communication Proficiency - Interactive communication with Management and employees that helps motivate and drive our culture and business results. Implement and sustain standard work, 6S, TPM’s, and lead process improvement efforts.Education and Experience3 years of experience in a leading manufacturing teams, proven lean Kaizen experience preferredHigh school diploma with some further related education preferredDeliver a track record of successfully understanding and communicating production metrics. KPI’s – develop, hold accountable, Corrective Action ResolutionEffective communication and project management skills requiredMust maintain confidentiality of employee, department, and company businessKnowledge and experience in production and manufacturing processes and techniquesAbility to work assigned hours plus overtime as neededYou should be proficient in:Lean Manufacturing PrinciplesCoaching and Mentoring ExperienceSix Sigma ExperienceMachines & technologies you'll use:Conveyor SystemsForkliftsID:qnkTyx
