Computer Numerical Control Production Machinist

You walk into the Covington, LA or Tangi, LA shop, review a blueprint, load the program, and bring a component from concept to reality with tight tolerances and a clean finish. You keep safety and quality at the forefront, and when a machine hiccups, you diagnose and correct it to keep production on track.

Operate and set up CNC machinery to deliver top-tier parts while maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency. Use your programming understanding, shop math, and manual machining know-how to solve problems and elevate the process alongside your team.

• Set up and run CNC machines for production jobs, ensuring optimal performance and throughput.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and conduct maintenance to reduce downtime.
• Interpret technical drawings and blueprints; apply CNC programming to meet specifications.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to protect quality and safety.
• Perform tool changes and machine adjustments as production requirements shift.
• Leverage manual machining skills when needed to support production goals.
• Use shop math to verify measurements and perform precise calculations.
• Work closely with teammates to resolve issues and continuously improve processes.

• Proven background as a CNC Machine Operator or comparable role.
• Demonstrated CNC equipment troubleshooting strength.
• Comfort with CNC tooling and programming practices.
• Fluency in reading and interpreting technical drawings/blueprints.
• Solid understanding of SOPs in manufacturing.
• Manual machining experience is a plus.
• Strong shop math fundamentals.
• Detail-focused with a quality mindset.
• Excellent communicator and dependable team player.
