Express Vision in Houston, TX is looking for one optometrist assistant to join our 11 person strong team. We are located on 12343 S Main St. Our ideal candidate is attentive, punctual, and engaged.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Verifying patient's insurance benefits prior to exams
- Maintaining office cleanliness and organization of resources
- Greeting patients, checking them in and out of appointments
- Collecting co-pays and deductibles
- Working up patients prior to seeing the doctor, including operating pre-testing equipment
- Experience with insurances and medical billing is preferred but not required.
- Dispensing contacts and glasses,
Qualifications
- Proven experience working as a front desk agent or similar position
- Knowledge of spreadsheets and word processing documents
- Excellent customer service skills and courteous phone manner
- Time-management and organizational skills
- Spanish Speaking is a plus
