Job Description:
Express Employment Professionals is seeking candidates to fill our Lube/ Tire Technician Position. Ideal candidates will remove and replaces oil filters, drains engines of old oil, replaces with new oil, install/ balance tires, and repair tires for passenger cars and commercial vehicles.
Duties:
- Perform new tire installations and/or repair tires on vehicles.
- Inspect tires before and after installations.
- Complete tire rotations, balancing, alignments, and other maintenance tasks.
- Check vehicle fluid levels and perform oil changes.
- Check tire pressure and perform tire rotation.
- Diagnose vehicle problems.
- Perform safety inspections on vehicle.
- Service universal joints, grease fittings, and steering knuckles using hand- or compressed-air powered guns.
- Inspect fluid levels in steering gears, power steering reservoir, transmission, differential,
- and rear axle housing.
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of automotive experience
- ASE Certified preferred, but not required.
- Valid driver’s license
- Experience with various hand tools
- Knowledge of ABS brake systems preferred.
