What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembly Technician position at Express Skilled Trades - Kansas City?
We’re seeking several candidates to our **“Assembly Technician” **positions. This flexible role will commonly perform routine tasks in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should be able to work independently and as part of a team, with limited supervision at times, and be highly organized and hard-working.
Basic Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Must be able to use hand tools and power tools
- Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening or tightening using hand tools and/or power tools
- Utilize manual and automated production equipment, various hydraulic or pneumatic tools
- Must be able to read and comprehend production orders and diagrams
- Inspect work completed on components to internal inspection criteria for compliance with quality or engineering requirements utilizing fixtures, precision measuring devices, and or testing protocols
- Must be able to communicate effectively with supervisors, team leads, and fellow co-workers
- Performs other manual-related tasks as assigned
- Basic knowledge of math and ability to read tape measures
- Sign-off on the process documentation for each of the work steps performed
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
Mechanical knowledge and experience preferred
Minimum of 1-year experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
Able to pass background and drug screening
Flexibility to work OT
