Freight Forwarding - Air Export Coordinator

PURPOSE

The Air Export Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the smooth and timely movement of goods by air, coordinating all aspects of the export process, from routing and rating analysis, booking to delivery, while ensuring compliance with regulations and providing excellent customer service

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate and oversee air export shipments from start to finish, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
• Prepare and verify all necessary documentation for export shipments.
• Book airfreight shipments and manage bookings.
• Track and trace shipments to ensure timely delivery.
• Update shipment statuses and provide updates to customers and agents.
• Address inquiries and resolve any issues related to export orders.
• Negotiate rates and monitor transportation arrangements.
• Provide quote/rate to assigned accounts.
• Review and issue invoice/ DN for all shipments.
• Other duties may be assigned by management due to business change or business need.

SKILLS ESSENTIAL TO THE JOB

Technical

• Windows Operating System
• MS Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel and Access)

Business

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in logistics/freight forwarding industry, preferred
• Thorough understanding of air shipment documentation process, a plus
• Demonstrated critical thinking, using logic and reasoning to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and risks, and identifying alternative solutions or approaches
• Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Ability to multi-task and work independently
• Time management skills

Human Relations

• Self-motivated, with an ability to self-manage
• Strong interpersonal/communication skills
