Responsibilities
- Operate grounds maintenance equipment including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and power tools to perform lawn care and landscaping tasks efficiently.
- Maintain healthy landscapes by performing mowing, edging, pruning, planting, and fertilizing with attention to detail.
- Identify various plants, shrubs, trees, and pests to ensure proper horticultural practices and pest management.
- Install and repair irrigation systems to ensure optimal watering schedules and landscape health.
- Execute hardscape projects such as installing pathways, retaining walls, or other outdoor features with precision.
- Follow safety protocols rigorously to prevent accidents during equipment operation or outdoor work activities.
- Assist with seasonal tasks like snow plowing or winterizing landscapes when necessary.
Experience
- Prior outdoor work experience or background in grounds maintenance or landscaping is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates.
- Mechanical knowledge of landscape maintenance equipment and power tools is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with plant identification, pesticide management, irrigation systems, and horticulture principles is a plus.
- Ability to operate groundskeeping machinery safely and efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Strong physical stamina to perform outdoor tasks in various weather conditions throughout the year.
