Merchandising Assistant
Express Kitchens | Bristol, CT (travel to CT showrooms) | Full-time | Reports to: Head of Communications
About Us
Express Kitchens is a Connecticut kitchen cabinet and windows retailer with six showrooms across the state, offering premium-quality cabinetry at budget-friendly prices.
The Role
A split role: half keeping our showrooms merchandised and on-brand, half creating everyday marketing materials using Adobe and AI Tools.
Responsibilities
Store Merchandising
- Set up and maintain displays, signage, and samples across all six showrooms
- Install and swap promotional materials for current campaigns
- Report store issues (damaged samples, outdated pricing, missing signage)
- Deliver marketing materials between HQ, the warehouse, and stores
Design
- Create flyers, signage, price cards, social posts, and product labels
- Check all materials for accuracy before they go out
- Prepare files for print and work with print vendors
Requirements
- 1 to 3 years in retail merchandising, marketing, or design
- Comfortable using AI design tools (experience with Claude Design is a plus)
- Good eye for layout and attention to detail
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
