We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the supply chain and ensuring efficient freight forwarding operations. This position involves coordinating transportation. The Logistics Coordinator will work closely with various departments to enhance operational efficiency and support our commitment to excellent service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage export logistics operations, including transportation planning, preparing Bill of Ladings, processing bookings with ocean carriers, filing AES and dispatching freight.
- Oversee shipping and receiving processes, ensuring timely delivery of goods.
- Utilize data analysis skills to monitor inventory levels, track shipments, and analyze supply chain performance.
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors for procurement, sourcing, and contract negotiations.
- Implement process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency in logistics operations.
- Manage materials handling and inventory control within the warehouse environment.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues in the supply chain and develop actionable solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of freight movements
Qualifications
- Proven experience in export freight forwarding coordination
- Proficiency in data collection and analysis; familiarity with SQL is a plus.
- Strong negotiation skills with a focus on vendor management and contracts
- Familiarity with freight operations, including NVOCC, dispatching, and shipping & receiving processes.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis for process improvement initiatives.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
