What are the responsibilities and job description for the Welder position at Express Employment?
Hours: Monday - Thursday, 6:00am - 4:30pm
Pay: $22.00 - $30.00/HR
Duties:
- Perform MIG welding on fabricated metal components according to specifications and production requirements
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to ensure accurate fabrication
- Set up, adjust, and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently
- Inspect completed welds to verify quality standards and conformance to specifications
- Work with materials including aluminum and stainless steel as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and adherence to company policies
- Collaborate with production and quality teams to meet deadlines and production goals
Qualifications:
- Previous MIG welding experience required
- Experience welding aluminum and stainless steel preferred
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
- Proficiency using measuring tools and verifying product specifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a production environment
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
