Job Responsibilities

• Operate spray equipment within a dedicated paint booth to apply finishes to a variety of substrates, including aluminum, steel, acrylic, polycarbonate, and PVC.
• Read and interpret work orders and job paperwork accurately to ensure correct materials, colors, and procedures are followed.
• Mix paint according to exact ratios and specifications, ensuring color accuracy by comparing mixed paint to standard swatches.
• Sand and clean aluminum surfaces in preparation for painting.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper function of spray guns, weighing scales, sanding tools, and all related equipment.
• Select and apply appropriate painting techniques and materials based on the substrate being finished.
• Follow production schedule and prioritize jobs according to deadlines and workflow needs.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding job status, timing, and any issues affecting production.

Job Requirements

• Prior experience in spray painting, preferably in an industrial or automotive-style paint booth
• Knowledge of surface preparation and finishing techniques
• Ability to mix and match paint colors accurately
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Basic mechanical aptitude for maintaining tools and equipment
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
