Industrial Sit Down Forklift Operator / Lumber Yard Associate
Associates will be responsible for working in an outdoor lumber yard environment, handling and moving materials safely and efficiently.
Job Duties Include:
- Operate a industrial sit-down forklift to move, load, and unload lumber
- Load and unload trucks, including flatbed trucks
- Identify and work with various lumber sizes (2x4, 2x6, 2x10, etc.)
- Move and stack heavy pieces of lumber throughout the yard
- Assist with general yard operations as needed
- Maintain a safe, organized, and productive work area
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year industrial sit down forklift experience and HAS to be within the last 6 months
- Familiarity with common lumber sizes and materials
- Experience loading and unloading trucks, especially flatbeds
- Physically able to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy lumber
- Punctual, reliable, and trustworthy (consistent attendance is required)
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, outdoor environment
- Pass drug screening and criminal background check
