Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in framing, finishing, and installation of wood structures, cabinetry, doors, windows, and trim
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and project plans accurately
- Measure, cut, and assemble materials with precision using hand and power tools
- Maintain a clean and organized job site, ensuring tools and materials are properly stored
- Support layout and preparation of work areas, including scaffolding and safety barriers
- Collaborate with team members to solve construction challenges intuitively and efficiently
- Perform quality checks and ensure work meets specifications and building codes
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding progress and issues
- Safely operate tools and equipment, adhering to OSHA and company safety standards
- Assist with material procurement and inventory tracking
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of carpentry or construction experience
- Strong understanding of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials
- Ability to work independently and anticipate project needs
- Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Familiarity with safety procedures and regulations
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship preferred
