Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. | Type: Full-Time, Long-Term Opportunity
Pay: $26–$32 per hour (DOE)
A day in the life
You arrive on site before the crew, review the plan set and manufacturer specs, and walk the work area to confirm utility locates and safe excavation practices. By 7:00 a.m., you’re leading a safety huddle, aligning subcontractors, and confirming materials and equipment are staged. As the day unfolds, you supervise installation and sitework, step in on advanced layout or fit-up when needed, and keep the project moving to plan. Throughout, you communicate with customers and management, document progress, and ensure every task meets engineering and regulatory standards.
What you’ll lead- Onsite crews and subcontractors, directing daily field operations and workflows
- Safe, efficient execution of tasks in alignment with project specifications and timelines
- Jobsite safety: conduct tailgate meetings and enforce company/regulatory requirements
- Coordination of materials, inspections, labor, and schedules to prevent delays
- Quality control: layouts, advanced installations, and required documentation
- Daily reporting and clear communication with customers and internal stakeholders
- Safe excavation practices, including utility identification and protection
- Operation of equipment and tools such as skid loaders, forklifts, air compressors, power tools, and other construction equipment
- 5 years in a construction-related role, with proven crew leadership or training experience
- Valid CDL required
- Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record per company standards
- Hands-on proficiency operating construction equipment and performing manual labor
- Ability to interpret plans/specs, execute layouts, and uphold safety requirements
- Deep knowledge of jobsite safety and compliance practices
- Clear, professional communication skills (verbal and written)
- Organized, decisive leadership with strong problem-solving ability
- Self-directed while effectively leading a team
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Willingness to travel out of town and stay overnight as needed
- Extended standing and walking
- Frequently lift up to 50 lbs; occasionally up to 100 lbs
- Outdoor work in heat, humidity, rain, and cold
- Frequent use of hands/arms with tools and equipment
