Express Employment Professionals is partnering with a local manufacturer to hire a CNC Programmer–Operator who enjoys precise work, cares about quality, and collaborates well with a production team.
A day in the shopYou arrive, review the day’s work orders, load the correct program, and set your fixturing. With bore gauges and calipers in hand, you validate critical dimensions on first articles, tweak offsets, and let production run. Throughout the shift, you keep an eye on tool wear, adjust feeds and speeds as needed, and step in quickly if something sounds off. Between runs, you handle changeovers efficiently, document results, and work with your supervisor and teammates to keep output on track.
What you’ll do- Set up and operate CNC equipment to complete precision machining operations
- Verify part accuracy using instruments such as bore gauges and calipers
- Monitor machines continuously to catch malfunctions or defects early
- Adjust machine settings and offsets to maintain quality standards
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to keep machines running optimally
- Coordinate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals
- Experience in a CNC machinist or closely related role is a plus
- Hands-on proficiency with CNC operation and related shop tools
- Comfort with calculations and measurements; strong basic math
- Sharp attention to detail and practical problem-solving skills
- Clear communication and a team-first mindset
