Industrial Wastewater Systems Mechanic

You arrive, review the previous shift’s log, and head out for a walk‑through of the plant. Pumps hum, motors spin, and control cabinets blink with status lights. You listen for changes in tone, check temperatures, and spot a cabinet that isn’t reading correctly. Out comes your multimeter—one quick test points you to a faulty component, and you document the issue, schedule the repair, and get the line back on track. Before noon, you’ve completed a preventive inspection, cleaned your area, and updated maintenance notes so the next tech has a clear handoff.

• Operate, monitor, and maintain wastewater treatment equipment and related systems to keep processes running smoothly
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and diagnose pumps, motors, and electrical control cabinets
• Use a multimeter to test electrical components and assist in pinpointing faults
• Identify mechanical and basic electrical problems and perform first‑level troubleshooting
• Continuously observe equipment to verify proper system performance
• Conduct routine inspections and complete scheduled preventive maintenance
• Report equipment malfunctions and maintenance concerns promptly
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow safety procedures and all company policies without exception
• Support other maintenance and wastewater duties as assigned

• Strong mechanical aptitude and proven troubleshooting ability (required)
• Confident, proper use of a multimeter is mandatory
• Hands‑on experience working with control cabinets, pumps, motors, or similar industrial equipment
• Ability to recognize and resolve basic mechanical and electrical issues
• Background in wastewater, industrial maintenance, manufacturing, or mechanical work preferred
• Self‑starter who can work independently while following instructions
• High attention to detail with a safety‑first mindset
• Reliable, consistent attendance and punctuality
