Overview
Express Employment has partnered with a company in the West Des Moines area that is seeking an **Mechanical Assembler. $19-$27/hour.
This is a Direct Hire Role.**
Duties
- Assemble mechanical components and finished products according to specifications and work instructions
- Work with engineered thermoplastic materials and composite components to build outrigger pads and stabilization equipment
- Utilize hand and power tools to complete assembly processes
- Inspect parts and finished products to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with company standards
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment
- Package and prepare completed products for shipment
- Assist with general warehouse duties including material handling, staging, and inventory organization
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals
Experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding of mechanical schematics is essential.
- Familiarity with machining processes and the use of precision measuring instruments is an advantage.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate power tools effectively.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work are critical for success in this role.
