Express is now hiring for a Seasonal Kennel Assistant at a pet care facility based out of Thurston County, WA. The schedule consists of split shifts: 7:00 AM–11:00 AM and 4:00 PM–7:00 PM, Saturday through Wednesday. The compensation for this position is $17.13/hr, depending on experience.
Job Duties:
- Let dogs out for exercise and potty breaks
- Clean animal pens and common areas, ensuring a sanitary and safe environment
- Feed animals according to schedule and dietary needs
- Administer medications as directed
- Clean up after dogs and cats, including handling feces and other messes
- Support a clean, organized, and efficient kennel operation
- Work as part of a team in a fast-paced, animal-care environment
Job Requirements:
- Previous animal care experience (preferred)
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Must be comfortable working with dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Must be dependable, punctual, and comfortable with physical tasks
