CPA / Accounting ManagerLeadership & Future Partnership Opportunity | $125,000–$150,000 DOE
An opportunity to take the next step in your career—and ultimately help shape the future of an established firm.
A well-established local accounting firm with more than a century of history is seeking an experienced CPA / Accounting Manager to join its leadership team. This position is designed for an accounting professional who has developed strong technical expertise and client relationships and is ready to take on a greater leadership role.
The opportunity goes well beyond managing engagements. The successful candidate will work closely with firm leadership, assume responsibility for an established client portfolio, mentor and develop staff, and play an increasingly important role in the firm's continued growth and direction.
With long-term succession planning already underway, this position offers a genuine opportunity to grow into a future partnership role.
The Role
This individual will oversee a diverse portfolio of accounting and tax engagements while serving as a trusted advisor to clients. The position combines technical accounting and tax responsibilities with team leadership, client relationship management, and business development.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and mentoring a team of accounting professionals while supporting their continued development.
- Overseeing accounting and tax engagements to ensure quality, accuracy, and timely completion.
- Building and maintaining long-term relationships with individual, business, and nonprofit clients.
- Transitioning established client relationships from a senior leader approaching retirement.
- Identifying opportunities to expand services and strengthen existing client relationships.
- Participating in business development and contributing to the firm's continued growth.
- Working alongside firm leadership on strategic initiatives and long-term planning.
- Helping shape the firm's culture, service model, and future direction.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable operating at both the technical and leadership levels—someone who can work through complex accounting and tax matters while also developing people and earning the confidence of clients.
A Career With a Longer View
This position is particularly well suited for someone who is thinking beyond their next title.
As part of the firm's long-term succession planning, the incoming CPA will have the opportunity to gradually assume greater responsibility and develop relationships with an established client base.
