Purchasing AgentLocation: Tolland, CTPay rate: $22-25/hrSchedule: Monday-Friday, 7 am to 3:30 pmOverall Duties: Procurement of supplies and parts. Analyze, supply and report on vendors and information required to support Production. Ensures timely delivery and accuracy of information to Accounting. Provides support to management.Duties for Purchasing-Procurement of all office supplies, office furniture, non-inventory and inventory materials.Maintain computerized purchase module through input of purchase orders.Responsible for creation and routing distribution of costed reports, on a monthly basis, to the Accounting Department, after approval.Communicate with vendors regarding the procurement of material, return of non-conforming material and to expedite shortages.Source new products and vendors, in conjunction with Engineering.Continuously review and monitor purchasing requirements to insure that best prices/quantities are being met.Submit recommendations to management for changes to improve Purchasing methods.Duties for Material Control-Analyze cycle count reports and assists in reconciling discrepancies.Insure that open orders are monitored to ensure that material is delivered or expedited to fill shortages when necessary.Requirements/Qualifications:Bachelors of Science or minimum 5 years of purchasing experienceIf you are interested and qualified for this position, please contact us at (203) 235-5627.Company DescriptionExpress Employment Professionals of Meriden, CT1501 East Main Street Meriden, CT Suite 102
