Refractory Systems Support Technician

Join Express Employment Professionals and contribute on-site at a client facility in Braddock, PA. This is a hands-on role supporting steelmaking operations and refractory solutions while you grow toward full-time hire.

• $24/hr starting pay; eligible for a raise upon full-time conversion
• Evaluation-to-hire position with rapid start (ASAP)
• Schedule includes weekends with variable weekday rotations (Wednesday–Sunday or Saturday–Wednesday)

• Be a go-to resource on the mill floor for installation, testing, troubleshooting, and repair
• Champion safety by following procedures and engaging in safety meetings
• Support the Account Manager during customer meetings; contribute to refractory solution planning
• Collect and organize daily reports, logs, and documentation tied to steelmaking activities
• Execute field trials for new and existing initiatives; analyze and compile trial information
• Train customer teams on correct system operation and maintenance best practices
• Coordinate deliveries and assist with inventory management and packaging
• Assist with project-based work at customer sites

• High school diploma or GED; technical training a plus
• 2 years of experience in industrial, HVAC, or maintenance preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude; comfortable with hand and power tools
• Ability to interpret blueprints and diagrams
• Works well in hot, dusty, and noisy steel mill conditions
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Can lift up to 70 lbs and accommodate flexible/variable scheduling
