Lab Technician Job Summary:
We are looking for a Lab Technician at one of the largest heat treating assembly company's in North America. Lab Technician Responsibilities:
- Review paperwork to verify information and testing to be done
- Prepares parts and equipment for testing procedures
- Conducts testing as required, reporting any non-conformance to manager
- Accurately completes required paperwork and follows through as required
- Practices and promotes safety and good housekeeping
- Performs other tasks as designated by position
- This position is responsible for the care and treatment of our customer’s inventory and as such will perform duties in a safe and responsible manner to prevent customer loss or damage
Schedule & Pay:
- Training on 1st Shift 8:00am-4:30pm and moving to second shift 2pm-10:30pm Monday-Friday with overtime as required, company works 7 days a week at times
- $20-22/HR
Lab Technician Qualifications
- Must be able to read and understand blueprints and specifications
- Minimum one year in lab or related position.
- Must demonstrate the ability to read, write and communicate the English language
- Knowledge and hands on experience of computer applications including Microsoft Office and databases
- Must have basic knowledge of metallurgy, heat treating, inspection and related subjects
- Must be able to use RC hardness tester and other testing equipment as required
- Requires computer experience and good understanding of basic math
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- May be exposed to heat, fumes, noise, and humidity, etc.
- Education – High school diploma or equivalent
Salary : $20 - $22
