  • Do you take pride in PM systems that actually prevent downtime?
What you’ll tackle
  • Run equipment to reproduce faults; dissect issues to the component level and repair efficiently.
  • Measure, inspect, and correct misalignment or wear; realign spindles and clutches.
  • Validate every repair under operating conditions before returning equipment to production.
  • Build and maintain a preventive maintenance schedule for each machine; execute and document PM tasks.
  • Triage electrical problems, interpret machine system drawings, and safely take AC/DC readings.
  • Coordinate third-party service providers as needed for specialized repairs.
  • Partner with engineers, programmers, production staff, machinists, and operators to resolve machining/assembly challenges.
  • Pitch in with raw material/saw, finishing, and parts washing when production needs an extra hand.
  • Perform occasional building maintenance in mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Your background
  • Associate’s degree in mechanical or electrical disciplines preferred (or equivalent military/technical training) with 5 years working on CNC production machines; equivalent combinations considered.
  • Language: read and interpret blueprints/machine drawings, safety rules, and O&M manuals; write clear reports; speak effectively to groups.
  • Math: probability/statistics, plane/solid geometry, trigonometry; apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions; compute rates and interpret bar graphs.
  • Reasoning: solve practical problems amid limited standardization; interpret written, oral, diagram, and schedule instructions; collaborate to develop alternatives.
  • Computer/Test Gear: basic PC skills (word processing, spreadsheets, web); use a digital multi meter, oscilloscope, amp meter, and meg meter.
