Construction Lead / Skilled Operator (Excavation & Concrete)

Position Summary
They are seeking a skilled and reliable Construction Lead to take over a key role within their team. This position involves hands-on work in excavation and concrete, as well as coordinating job site activities and maintaining strong communication with crews, suppliers, and inspectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate excavators safely and efficiently for residential construction projects
- Perform concrete work including forming, pouring, and finishing
- Lead and assist with seawall and bulkhead repairs and replacements
- Coordinate with building inspectors to ensure compliance and smooth project flow
- Schedule and communicate with ready-mix concrete suppliers and pump truck operators
- Oversee job site progress and support team members as needed
- Maintain company standards for quality, safety, and professionalism
- Ability to set and verify elevations and drainage grades using laser levels to ensure accurate site preparation and proper water flow
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating excavators in a construction setting
- Strong background in concrete forming and finishing
- Experience with seawall or bulkhead work preferred
- Ability to read plans and execute work with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Strong work ethic and commitment to high-quality results
