Responsibilities
- Safe Transportation:
- Operate CDL-A vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
- Transport corrugated boxes and related products to assigned destinations.
- Loading and Unloading:
- Load and unload products at delivery and pickup points.
- Ensure proper securing of cargo to prevent damage during transit.
- Route Planning:
- Plan and follow designated routes, considering delivery schedules and traffic conditions.
- Use GPS and other navigation tools effectively.
- Documentation:
- Complete accurate and timely logbooks, trip reports, and other required documentation.
- Ensure all paperwork is in order for each delivery.
- Vehicle Maintenance:
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
- Report any mechanical issues promptly and follow maintenance schedules.
- Customer Interaction:
- Interact professionally with customers during deliveries and pickups.
- Represent the company in a positive manner.
- Compliance:
- Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain a clean driving record.
- Valid CDL-A license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a CDL-A Driver, preferably in the transportation of goods.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to lift, carry, and transport heavy and bulky items.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a CDL-A Driver.
- Good physical condition and stamina.
- Flexibility to work weekends or irregular hours as needed.
