Description
The corporate office of Express Employment International is seeking an individual to lead the charge in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for Express’ franchise-facing digital ecosystem, orchestrating a dynamic team of field testers and internal experts to push every office-facing automation to its limits. You’ll own the end-to-end UAT process; designing real-world scenarios, hunting down hidden bugs, and translating user feedback into actionable insights that supercharge usability and alignment with business goals. By forging tight partnerships with stakeholders, ITS, and executive leadership, you’ll ensure every release is battle-tested, stakeholder-approved, and ready to accelerate Express’ digital transformation.
This position sits within our Oklahoma City based corporate office, currently with an expectation to be onsite 80% of the time.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the full UAT lifecycle and a high-performing crew of external and internal testers
- Craft crystal-clear documentation of processes, defects, and resolutions to fuel transparency and continuous evolution
- Curate and collaborate with field testers to stress-test mobile and on-site software in authentic environments.
- Test from the end-user’s perspective by simulating real-world usage scenarios to validate the software's usability and functionality
- Validate against business requirements to ensure the software aligns with the business goals and addresses the problems it was designed to solve
- Find overlooked issues to help identify bugs, usability problems, or functionality gaps that might have been missed in earlier testing stages
- Gather and analyze user feedback to enhance the software and address any concerns before the official launch
- Communicate progress, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders, including support teams and executive leadership to ensure alignment and awareness
- Coordinate with stakeholders to release tested and approved products
- Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- Equivalent professional experience in lieu of degree will be considered
- Three plus years of hands-on experience leading User Acceptance Testing (UAT), coordination, or end-user validation in an enterprise software environment
- Proven track record managing cross-functional testers (internal staff and field-based users) through structured test cycles
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable test scenarios and measurable outcomes
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, OR ABILITIES
- Experience in designing, executing, and optimizing end-to-end UAT cycles; skilled in building test strategies, managing distributed tester pools, and enforcing timelines to deliver defect-free releases on schedule
- Capable of distilling technical findings into clear, compelling narratives for support teams
- Strong data-driven mindset to triage defects, quantify business impact, and transform raw user feedback into prioritized enhancement roadmaps that align with strategic goals
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
