Auto Mechanic / Automotive TechnicianJob Summary:Responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles to ensure safe, reliable operation. Performs mechanical and electrical repairs, preventative maintenance, and inspections in accordance with manufacturer and industry standards.Key Responsibilities:Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle issues using diagnostic tools and systemsPerform routine maintenance including oil changes, brake service, tire rotation, and fluid checksRepair or replace engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, steering, and exhaust systemsInspect vehicles for safety, performance, and compliance with regulationsTest-drive vehicles before and after repairs to verify proper operationMaintain accurate service records and repair documentationFollow shop safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work areaCommunicate repair needs and recommendations clearly with service advisors or customersQualifications:Proven experience as an auto mechanic or automotive technicianStrong knowledge of vehicle systems and diagnostic equipmentAbility to read repair manuals, schematics, and technical bulletinsASE certifications preferred (or willingness to obtain)Valid driver’s license and reliable transportationAbility to lift heavy components and work in a fast-paced environment
