Urgent Care Clinician

Key Responsibilities:

• Triage and Documentation:

1. Accurately conduct medical history intake and document patient information in the EMR.

• Clinical Tasks:

1. Vital Sign Measurement: Measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, and height/weight.
2. Lab Procedures: Perform basic laboratory tests such as EKGs, phlebotomy, urine specimen collection, and influenza nasal swabs.
3. Medication Administration: Prepare and administer oral and injectable medications under physician supervision.
4. Exam Room Preparation: Setup exam rooms with necessary instruments and supplies.

Requirements:

• Education:

1. Accredited Medical Assistant program and clinical externship completion is mandatory.

• Licenses & Certifications:

1. CMA, RMA, or CCMA Certification is highly recommended.
2. CPR Certification is essential.

• Work Experience:

1. Preferably, at least one year of clinical experience in a physicians office or hospital.

• Required Skills & Knowledge:

1. Strong knowledge of medical terminology.
2. Superior customer service skills.
3. A high level of professionalism.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
5. Ability to work extended hours, including 12 hour shifts, and maintain physical stamina.
6. Flexible scheduling, including weekends and holidays.
