Responsibilities
- Assist with loading and unloading goods using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and carts
- Support delivery drivers with route driving, vehicle inspections, and safe driving practices in compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations
- Help organize warehouse inventory, move materials, and ensure proper storage of items
- Aid in the safe lifting, carrying, and placement of heavy or bulky items following safe lifting practices
- Operate box trucks or vans for local deliveries, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and route schedules
- Use mobile devices to track deliveries, update logs, and communicate with team members effectively
- Support warehouse operations by maintaining cleanliness, safety standards, and efficient workflow
Skills
- Prior warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations is preferred
- Experience in commercial driving, including van or box truck operation, is highly desirable
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting and moving materials safely
- Knowledge of delivery driving procedures and adherence to traffic laws and DOT regulations
- Strong customer service skills to interact professionally during deliveries
- Experience operating material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or carts
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards
