NIGHT AUDITOR

About the Role:

The Night Auditor plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth financial and operational functioning of accommodation establishments during overnight hours. This position is responsible for accurately reconciling daily financial transactions, auditing guest accounts, and preparing detailed reports that support management decision-making. The Night Auditor acts as the primary point of contact for guests during the night shift, providing exceptional customer service and addressing any issues that arise promptly and professionally. Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.


• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reconciliation.


• Experience with hotel property management systems or similar software.


• Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.


• Ability to work overnight shifts independently and responsibly.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate degree or higher in hospitality management, accounting, or related field.


• Previous experience as a night auditor or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.


• Proficiency with advanced accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities:

• Perform nightly audits of all financial transactions, including room charges, payments, and adjustments, to ensure accuracy and completeness.


• Reconcile daily revenue reports and prepare detailed audit summaries for management review.


• Manage front desk operations during the night shift, including guest check-ins, check-outs, and responding to guest inquiries or concerns.


• Monitor security and safety protocols throughout the property, reporting any irregularities or incidents to appropriate personnel.


• Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure seamless communication across shifts.
