Essential Job Functions:
- Planning and evaluating fundraising campaigns and activities.
- Managing the organization’s fundraising campaigns and major gift donors by communicating with donors and staff via email, phone, social media, and in-person.
- Identifying and stewarding prospective donors using prospect research tools and your donor database to build donor relationships.
- Leading implementation of donor recognition and stewardship activities.
- Recruiting fundraising committee members and volunteers.
- Participating and facilitating meetings with project teams, leaders, facilitators, business leaders and others upon request.
- Collaborating with the organization's fundraising committee to provide strategic opportunities to increase fundraising. Creating solicitation materials for the fundraising team.
- Processing and tracking donations for the organization.
- Facilitating the organization’s fundraising strategic goals and working within a budget.
- Preparing and presenting reports on fundraising activities to the leadership team and board of directors.
- Staying on top of fundraising trends and the nonprofit community.
- Displaying flexibility of fundraising efforts at the discretion of the ED.
- Answering donor and staff inquiries in a timely fashion.
Professional Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Previous experience with a nonprofit organization preferred.
- Demonstrated excellence in organizational, managerial, and communication skills.
- Experience or willingness to learn about annual giving, planned giving.
- Experience seeking out and cultivating relationships that lead to increased agency funding.
- Previous success meeting agency fundraising goals, through diverse funding streams. Grant writing experience is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional demeanor and good interpersonal skills.
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Google Docs
- Ability to interact effectively and appropriately with professionals, boards, committees, volunteers and executive staff.).
