Responsibilities:
This position is in the Office of the Senior Vice President of Board Authorized Finance (OBAF) of the Export-Import Bank of the United States, Credit Administration and Claims Processing Division (CACP). CACP supports OBAF's focus on the Bank's short-, medium- and long-term portfolios through disbursements and claims. This position is primarily in the Credit Administration group of CACP. This group evaluates disbursements to determine eligibility for support with respect to EXIM requirements, policies, and guidelines, as well as being a subject matter expert for the creation and change of relevant EXIM requirements, policies, and guidelines.Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Completes analyses of the collected documentation related to each disbursement or claim, determines completeness and satisfaction of requirements for a disbursement or claim decision to occur, and ensures compliance with EXIM policies and executed agreements.
- Serves as a Senior Credit Administration Officer, senior expert consultant, and member of the Credit Administration and Claims Processing staff. Oversees, coordinates, reviews, and provides disbursement and claim advice relative to an individual transaction.
- Represents as EXIM's senior-level expert on disbursement and claim issues and provides authoritative evaluations on the most complex disbursement scenarios.
- Provides critical communication and expert advisory support while working directly with borrowers, lenders, agents, exporters, outside counsel, insureds, brokers, and other stakeholders to address concerns and strategic considerations related to potential and ongoing complex transactions. Identifies and isolates critical issues, traces their root causes, and designs targeted solutions.
- Maintains oversight responsibility for key business relationships with whom CACP interacts.
- Plays an important role in the development, implementation and improvement of the CACP processes and procedures and is tasked with working with management to adapt and integrate new and sophisticated financing techniques, lending program initiatives, policies and programs, improvements in technology, and changes in EXIM Bank's accounting system to the Division's procedures
