As a CDL Lowboy Driver, you will contribute to our mission of on-time exceptional service in the drilling and blasting sector.
Responsibilities
- Operate lowboy trucks to transport heavy equipment safely to and from job sites.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
- On-time delivery is crucial because the equipment will often be used early the next day.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
- Load and unload equipment as required, ensuring secure transport.
- Must be able to learn how to drive equipment onto the lowboy.
- Plan routes effectively to optimize delivery times.
- Communicate with the main office regarding any issues or delays.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours and equipment usage.
- Collaborate with team members to support project needs.
- Qualifications
- Hazmat and tanker endorsement preferred.
- Valid CDL license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a truck driver, preferably with lowboy or heavy haul experience.
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is essential.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols in over-the-road transportation.
- Must be willing to operate with wide loads safely.
- Ability to load and unload heavy equipment safely by yourself.
- Good communication skills for effective teamwork.
- Experience with route planning and navigation.
