Exploring Graphics- Seamstress

The Exploring Graphics Seamstress plays a key role in the production of large-format printed graphics, including banners, trade show displays, vehicle wraps, soft signage, and custom fabric installations. This position requires precision sewing, attention to detail, and experience working with heavy-duty fabrics, vinyl, mesh, and other print materials used in the graphics industry.

You will work closely with the print and finishing teams to ensure all sewn and finished products meet company quality standards and client specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate industrial sewing machines to stitch, hem, and finish printed fabric graphics, banners, and other substrates.
• Cut, fold, and align materials accurately for seams, hems, and pockets according to job requirements.
• Collaborate with production and finishing teams to prepare materials for final assembly and installation.
• Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on sewing equipment as needed.
• Inspect finished products for accuracy, ensuring seams, hems, and finishes meet design and quality standards.
• Work from technical drawings, specifications, and work orders to determine material types and finishing details.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas to support efficient production workflows.
• Assist with other finishing duties such as trimming, and packaging as required.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain quality assurance throughout the production process.

Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience as a seamstress, sewing technician, or fabric finisher in a print, upholstery, or textile manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of industrial sewing machines and related tools.
• Ability to work with large-format printed materials such as canvas, mesh, polyester, and vinyl.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret production orders, technical drawings, and templates.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills for job tracking and production documentation.
• Team-oriented attitude and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Preferred Experience

• Background in the large-format printing or signage industry.
• Experience with welding, heat sealing, or adhesive finishing techniques.
• Familiarity with color matching, print materials, and finishing equipment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Manual dexterity to handle fabric materials and operate machinery.
• Comfortable working in a production floor environment.
