Senior Engineer, New Product Introduction (NPI)
A confidential medical technology organization is seeking a Senior NPI Engineer to support new product development and process scale‑up for precision thin‑film devices. This role partners closely with cross‑functional engineering teams to bring customer designs from concept through validated manufacturing. The position is hands‑on and highly technical, with strong involvement in prototyping, process development, verification, and production readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead thin‑film device fabrication planning and execution, including photolithography, metal deposition, and wet/dry etching
- Support new and existing product development through feasibility builds, prototyping, and process optimization
- Troubleshoot manufacturing processes and perform root cause analysis to resolve technical challenges
- Develop and execute test methods aligned with product and customer requirements
- Serve as a technical lead for moderately complex development programs and customer engagements
- Create and manage project plans, timelines, and deliverables in regulated manufacturing environments
- Support documentation, PFMEA activities, operator training, process validation, and manufacturing transfer
- Contribute to technical input for quotations, proposals, and customer communications
- Collaborate effectively across engineering, operations, and quality teams while maintaining compliance with industry regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline with 7 years of experience, or Master’s degree with 4 years
- Experience in thin‑film circuit fabrication (e.g., flexible circuits, microelectronics, or semiconductor processes)
- Strong working knowledge of photolithography, metal deposition, and etching techniques
- Proven ability to solve complex equipment, process, and design challenges
- Background in mechanical design, tooling, materials, and manufacturing processes
- Proficient in interpreting technical drawings and creating clear technical documentation
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, project‑driven environment
- Proficiency with standard productivity and project management software
- Fluent in English; flexibility to travel as required
Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
